No coverage
When you search for or click on a location outside AirScape's sensor network, you'll see a "No coverage" message. This means we don't have enough nearby sensors to provide reliable air quality estimates for that area.
Why some areas lack coverage
AirScape's sensor network is continuously expanding, but coverage depends on:
- Sensor deployment: Physical sensors must be installed in the area
- Population density: We prioritize high-population urban areas
- Partnership availability: Local organizations and sponsors help expand coverage
- Infrastructure: Sensors need power and connectivity
What you can do
Check nearby areas
Zoom out or pan the map to find the nearest sensors. You may find coverage just a short distance away that can give you a general indication of regional air quality.
Request coverage
If you'd like to see AirScape coverage in your area:
- Sponsor a sensor to bring monitoring to your location
- Contact us about partnership opportunities for your community
- Sign up for notifications when coverage expands to your area
Use alternative data
While waiting for local coverage:
- Check government monitoring stations (if available in your region)
- Look at regional air quality forecasts
- Monitor news for air quality alerts in your area
Coverage is expanding
We're actively working to expand our sensor network. Areas with high demand and community support are prioritized for new sensor installations.
