- Press Enter or click the search icon
Understanding results
Your search results appear in a dropdown list:
- Multiple matches: If your search has several matches, select the correct one from the list
- Location pin: The map centers on your selected location
- Place card: Air quality data for that location opens automatically
What you'll see
After searching, the map shows:
- Your location: Marked with a pin
- Nearby sensors: Colored dots indicating current pollution levels
- Heat map: Color-coded air quality overlay (if enabled)
- Points of interest: Nearby places that might affect or be affected by air quality
Search tips
- Be specific: Include the city or area for common street names
- Use postcodes: For precise locations in the UK
- Try landmarks: Searching for well-known places often works better than addresses
- Zoom first: If searching in a specific area, zoom there first for better results

Once you've found a location, you can:
- View the place card: See current air quality data
- Save to My Places: Track this location over time
- Check the heat map: See air quality in the surrounding area
- Share: Send a link to this location's air quality data
